This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
The title says all. Want to know why? No? I'll tell you anyway. They continuously changed my schedule without notifying me, they cut my hours and then LIED to me about the reason (Several times), plus the manager is a bipolar fucktard.
*whew*...
So there has been virtually no activity on this page in...what, 52 days? All of you who have been tirelessly checking for updates (Yeah, right.), I apologize. I just havent been in that drawing kind of mood, but I'm getting there right now. I was flipping through an art book yesterday and I saw some interesting new techniques I'd like to try. The library at school won't let me scan artwork because it isn't for "Study purposes." What the hell else am I supposed to scan? Vacation Photos? That I was writing a paper on? It could happen.
So I've applied to Suncoast and my prospects are very promising indeed, but it's kinda far away from my house. (About 50 km) So that means that I'd be spending like $2.75 each way on gas per day. On top of that, I have gas costs for school and a $300 insurance bill coming up in two months. It's depressing being so broke, but such is the life of a college student. Stupid inflation. Stupid George Bush.
I PROMISE I will have new stuff up in a jiffy. I just need to find a scanner and go get my paper and stuff.
And no, I didn't just give up. If you still want it, I'm willing to try again. Just let me get my hands on a scanner and some art supplies and I'll see what I can do.
The urd is dying, Music box is totally not working out, (I'll bet you've been like, "What the fuck...where is my comic?") I can't get ANYTHING to look right. I got about 8 finished pages into it before I realized, "Man...this is crap."
Here's how you could convince me to join a studio. These are going to sound assholish, but these are things that everyone needs to hear at urd. Most of the reason that they will seem assholish is because I'm really not in a position to tell you how to do things, but hear me out. They're just suggestions, really.
-Please have some standards with who you allow in. You could have an art/writing/coloring test for those who are being considered. (Of course, not everyone will be able to do all three, but they should be based on the inferred position.) Ex: An artist wants to be a part of the studio? S/he should draw one pic from life, another one where that picture is translated into manga style, and one original character in 3-5 poses. (One of these should be in color, but they don't really have to be.) Writers could submit an original story, it would be critiqued and reveiwed by current members, and an average reveiw score of say...6.5/10 or greater would indicate success. The score would be based on creativity, quality, and whatever else. Colorists should be able to produce a nice color image. One way to get colorists would be to give them a few drawings (And a cover idea) and have them work those.
Also, I've been thinking of changing my identity. Actually, I've just decided. The pinkie girl is way, WAY too feminine. And Id...What the hell was I thinking?
I'll check out what you've got, and If you need something, I can squeeze something in here and there mebbe. I'm pretty busy with work and school, and I need some supplies, and a new computer, and software...the list continues. Basically, If I were to join, the first conceivable time I could work on something would be later on this year. (I'm talking December, here.)
My email is at the top of my Dev page, I look forward to hearing from you.
Your icon of Id caught my eye. I lurve his muches, I do. Him and Xenogears was such a cool game... Whoa, I almost feel like drawing him right now... ;;
Need to grab some reference books too.
